This artwork “Singapore Youth Expressions” is the result of an art collaboration with Jujie’s children from Chen Su Lan Methodist Children’s Home. It has been created by Jujie’s shelter children initially painting ‘all things Singapore’ as small individual studies. After a composition outline of these was made on the big canvas, the children started painting it (3 at each time) together in a good effort of collaboration and appreciating each other’s work. In the final touchup phase, excess paint was removed, corrections made and the final outcome is as illustrated here. The whole painting process was as inspiring as the outcome! This work has been offered for charity auction.
